It offers ultimate flexibility at the edge with a sled-based architecture, allowing for multiple sled configurations with up to 4 nodes per chassis to meet growing and changing workloads.

The server comes with 1U and 2U sled options for optimum compute configurations across Core, Edge, Far-edge, and RAN, and it supports 5th and 4th generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors with optional vRAN boost up to 32 cores and both DC and AC power supply options.

It is designed to optimize TCO by reducing support and maintenance costs, decreasing service outages, and capitalizing on energy savings, featuring an advanced system power design that enables dual PSUs to support up to 4 sleds, integrated fan infrastructure for higher efficiency cooling, and compute, power, sleds and chassis that are serviceable separately to simplify field maintenance.

Built for the edge, the PowerEdge XR8000 achieves high-performance computing in harsh environments, operating in temperatures from -20°C to 65°C, and offers easy serviceability with front I/O and power in a short-depth (430 mm) chassis to fit in space-constrained environments.
