Overview

The Dell EMC Connectrix DS-6620B V2 is a high-performance Fibre Channel SAN switch in the Connectrix B-Series portfolio. It is designed to meet the scalability, performance, and reliability demands of medium to large enterprise SAN environments. The “24P/48P V2” designation indicates that the base unit comes with 24 active Fibre Channel ports, but it supports expansion up to 48 (or more in licensed variants). The V2 version brings enhancements such as support for FOS 9.0+ and slight changes in LED and port behavior.

This switch is well suited for SAN fabric backbone roles, ISL trunking, NVMe/FC traffic, and high-density SAN topologies.

• NVMe over Fibre Channel (NVMe/FC) Ready: Capable of handling mixed SCSI and NVMe traffic in the same fabric without hardware changes.
