Dell EMC PowerScale F710

Brand: Dell EMC
Availability: In Stock
  • Overview

The Dell EMC PowerScale F710 is a high-performance, scale-out all-flash NAS storage node, designed to deliver enterprise-class throughput, low latency, and massive scalability. The F710 is built on a 1U chassis based on the Dell PowerEdge R660 server platform and is tightly integrated with Dell’s OneFS operating system to provide a unified clustered file system and global namespace. A minimum of three nodes (and up to 252) form a cluster, offering a single volume and flexible scaling for demanding file workloads.

    Key Features

    • All-NVMe Storage — Supports up to 10 NVMe SSD drives per node for high I/O performance and low latency.
    • Powerful Compute — Dual Intel Xeon “Sapphire Rapids” processors (2.6 GHz, 24 cores each)
    • Large Memory — 512 GB DDR5 ECC memory (16 × 32 GB)
    • High-Throughput Networking
       • Front-end networking: two ports (100 GbE or 25 GbE)
       • Infrastructure (back-end) networking: dual 100 GbE ports Scale-Out Architecture — Cluster from 3 up to 252 nodes into a single file system and namespace
    • OneFS Operating System — Features include inline data deduplication/compression, erasure coding, automated tiering (SmartPools & CloudPools), SmartDedupe, SmartLock, SyncIQ replication, and global caching.
    • Data Protection & Availability — Supports FlexProtect (N+1 through N+4 and mirroring), role-based access control, encryption (at rest and in-flight), secure boot, and audit logging.
    • Non-Disruptive Upgrades & Management — OneFS supports rolling upgrades without downtime, unified management of the cluster, and features to optimize operations and resilience.
