Dell EMC PowerScale F910

Brand: Dell EMC
Availability: In Stock
  • Overview

The Dell EMC PowerScale F910 is a high-performance, all-flash (NVMe) scale-out NAS storage node built on a 2U chassis (PowerEdge R760 platform). It is designed to deliver ultra-low latency, high throughput, and massive scalability for demanding workloads such as AI, high frequency trading, media/entertainment, healthcare, and large unstructured data environments.

Clusters require a minimum of 3 nodes and can scale up to 252 nodes. The PowerScale F910 runs Dell’s OneFS operating system, enabling a unified global namespace, distributed file system, and non-disruptive upgrades and expansion.

The F910 is node-pool compatible with other F-series nodes (e.g. F900), allowing mixed deployments under a single namespace.

    Key Features

    • All-NVMe, all-flash architecture — Designed for maximum performance, with ultra-low latency and high throughput.
    • Massive scalability — Single cluster can scale from 3 up to 252 nodes.
    • High capacity per node — Raw capacity per node ranges from ~ 92 TB to ~ 737 TB depending on SSD configuration.
    • Unified file system (OneFS) — Single namespace, distributed caching, coherent metadata across cluster, non-disruptive scaling and upgrades.
    • Advanced data services — Inline compression, deduplication (SmartDedupe), data reduction guarantees, automated tiering (SmartPools, CloudPools), replication (SyncIQ / SmartSync).
    • Resilience & protection — FlexProtect striping/mirroring support (N+1 to N+4), file system audits, retention policies (SmartLock), role-based access control, encryption of data at rest and in transit.
    • Security & compliance — Secure boot, multi-factor authentication, external key manager support, audit logging, support for regulatory hardening.
    • High throughput networking — Options for 25G, 100G front-end network, as well as internal infrastructure networking.
    • AI / GPU integration — Certified for usage with NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD environments, making it suitable for AI model training and inference workflows.
    • Operational efficiency — Non-disruptive firmware upgrades, monitoring, and management, optimized for power, cooling, and density.
