Dell EMC PowerStore 5200T

Brand: Dell EMC
Availability: In Stock
  • Overview

The Dell EMC PowerStore 5200T is a mid-range all-flash storage appliance engineered for modern data centers. It is a unified platform supporting block, file, and vVol workloads, delivering high performance, low latency, and scalable architecture. With intelligent automation, always-on data reduction, and non-disruptive upgrades, the PowerStore 5200T is designed to simplify operations while supporting demanding workloads such as virtualization, databases, and containerized applications.

    Features

    • All-NVMe architecture & high throughput
The system uses NVMe media, dual-ported Intel Optane SSDs, and supports NVMe-over-Fabric (NVMe/FC and NVMe/TCP) to achieve ultra-low latency and high IOPS.
    • Unified storage support
Supports block (iSCSI, FC, NVMe/FC, NVMe/TCP), file (NFS, SMB), and vVols (via FC and TCP), enabling consolidation of mixed workloads on a single system.
    • Always-on data reduction
Compression, deduplication, and zero-detect features run continuously, helping reduce the effective storage footprint.
    • Scalability (scale-up & scale-out)
You can add capacity drives (scale-up) or cluster up to multiple appliances (scale-out) to meet growing demands (clusters up to ~18 PBe).
    • Data protection & replication
Native snapshot, clone, synchronous/asynchronous block and file replication, Metro Volume synchronous replication (with witness third site support), and integration with Dell PowerProtect for backup.
    • Security & resiliency
Encryption at rest, immutable snapshots, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and zero-trust design principles.
    • Non-disruptive upgrades & lifecycle extension
Hardware and software upgrades can be performed without downtime. Dell’s Lifecycle Extension (LCE) allows modernization without full replacement.
    • Intelligent automation & AI-driven management
Proactive diagnostic tools, analytics, and auto-tuning reduce manual intervention.
    • Ecosystem integrations
Native support for VMware (vSphere, vCenter, VASA, VAAI), container platforms (CSI integration), Ansible, Terraform, OpenStack, Microsoft Hyper-V, and storage import from legacy arrays.
