It combines advanced deduplication, compression, and replication capabilities with scalable architecture, allowing customers to retain significantly more backup data on fast disk storage while optimizing storage efficiency.

    This solution is ideal for environments with growing data volumes, where cyber resilience, rapid recovery, and cost-effective long-term retention are critical. The DXi 9200 supports cloud tiering, multi-site replication, immutable snapshots, encryption, and integration with leading backup software platforms.

    • Hybrid architecture (NVMe + high-density disk) — Uses NVMe SSDs for metadata acceleration combined with dense disk drives for bulk storage, balancing performance and cost.
    • Scalable capacity — Entry at 110 TB usable, scalable in 55 TB increments, up to 2.2 PB usable capacity.
    • Extreme data reduction — Inline deduplication and compression can yield data reduction ratios of up to 70× (actual result depends on data type).
    • Cloud tiering & DXi Cloud Share — Ability to tier deduplicated data into cloud targets to optimize capacity and extend logical capacity (e.g. enabling up to 462 PB of logical storage).
    • Replication & disaster recovery — Built-in support for asynchronous replication between DXi units, enabling offsite data protection and disaster recovery architectures.
    • Immutable snapshots & security — Support for offline immutable snapshots, role-based access control, encryption in transit and at rest to guard against unauthorized changes or ransomware.
    • Improved performance — Compared to prior generations, ingest and restore performance is improved (over 30 % faster), enabling more frequent backups and faster recoveries.
