Overview
The Quantum Myriad N1010 NVMe Storage Node is a high-performance, enterprise-grade NVMe storage appliance designed to serve as the foundational building block of the Myriad scale-out all-flash file and object storage system. This node supports demanding unstructured-data workflows — such as media and entertainment post-production, VFX/animation rendering, life-sciences data analytics, AI/ML training pipelines and large shared-storage environments — where low latency, high throughput and massive capacity are key.
The Myriad architecture allows clusters to start small (for example with a few N1010 nodes) and scale seamlessly, enabling organisations to expand capacity and performance non-disruptively as workloads grow. The N1010 node leverages NVMe flash drives, a high-speed internal fabric and distributed software to deliver consistent low-latency performance across large and growing data sets.

Features
- Engineered for ultra-high performance NVMe workflows: The N1010 node is tuned for sequential throughput and low latency, making it ideal for large file ingestion, real-time processing, high resolution streaming and multi-user collaborative storage.
- Enterprise high availability architecture: Each node is designed with redundant power supplies, hot-swappable NVMe drive bays and integration in a distributed cluster that avoids single points of failure.
- Compact modular design: The N1010 comes in a 1U-server form factor that allows high drive-density, enabling significant raw storage capacity in a small rack footprint.
- Seamless scale-out and growth: The Myriad system architecture supports “zero-click” expansion by adding more N1010 nodes — no manual reconfiguration of networking or storage controllers is needed; the system automatically integrates new nodes into the cluster.
- Modern software-defined storage architecture: Myriad’s software uses a microservices and Kubernetes-based framework, supporting advanced services like inline deduplication, compression, snapshots, erasure-coding and metadata distributed across all nodes — enabling efficient use of NVMe flash and simplified management.
- Future-ready and flexible: With support for high-density NVMe drives, RDMA-enabled networking (for example 100 GbE internal fabric), the N1010 is suitable for modern workloads like GPU-direct storage, AI/ML data lakes, and large-scale shared file systems.
